11 year old son is very attached to my “Junk”?
I have an 11 year old son. My husband and I recently decided to up-date and redo our home. Nothing major, just paint and new decor. I have a lot of shabby-chic white plates, white vases, a princess rotary dial phone, some floral design tea-cups (they aren’t old, but they look antique). Anyway, I was going to have a garbage sale and my son got very upset. He absolutely does not want me to sell the things I mentioned above. He wants me to keep them for him. I had no idea he was so attached to these things. Anyone have any idea why?
These are things that are familiar to him. They might seem like insignificant items that of course can be replaced, but he sees them as more than that. They might not be sentimental just yet to you, but to him they are. If you can find a place to put them up, do it and pass them on to him when he is old enough.
